New Server, System Upgrade

Our site experienced an unfortunately long amount of downtime due to a server breakdown and a workload that just wouldn't quit!

My current project is taxing my time considerably but its the most exciting in its space. What happens when you collide alcohol, 2 technologies and 3rd year mathematics? Fun!

Best wishes to everyone and thank-you for your continuing feedback.

Battle versus the Spammers

Lately some of our members have been struck with a number of spam messages. In our continuing effort we have implemented a counter measure to their antics and we look forward to another period of refuge from spam.

I wish everyone a successful 2007!

Share your story and win a t-shirt!

The team at TheLocalGuru.com has just received a new delivery of t-shirts and we want to give them away!

As part of our monthly contests we've been including t-shirts with the Chapters gift certificate. One of our winners Sue from Vancouver wrote:

"I think you guys have great taste, since for once I've received a shirt that I can wear with pride instead of only around the house. I love the colour too."

We're looking for gurus in Canada who are making a difference in their community. Are you operating a successful small business or freelance operation? Recently finished a challenging project? We want to hear from you! We'd like to post your story in a new section that highlights Canada's local experts.

Chosen submissions will be posted on the website over the coming months. All winners will receive one of our brand-spanking new t-shirts.

If you are interested please contact us.
